During my work experience Jodi said i must look at the work of Edmondson, an artist who lives and paints on Dartmoor. His technique is similar to my own. He works outside painting in all weathers and uses allows the elements to play with his canvas as he works. The wind and rain effect the paintings and sand and debris is often embedded into the paints. Although the resulting work he paints is not as abstract as mine, you can see the image of a landscape in hos finishes pieces, but the way he uses the elements if similar to my own work. Below is a video i found really inspiring and will definitely inform my work over the coming summer. There is a line between his work and mine that i feel can be crossed and intertwined. Makes me want to go straight into the woods and paint!
